Pokemon Go, Missed connections and VoyageUp

Pokemon Go

The Pokemon Go craze is sweeping across all the places it has been launched at. And users in other countries are trying out various hacks to get the game before it officially launches in their country.

Many players have complained about malfunctioning servers since the game went live. Its success has added $9-$10 Billion in Nintendo’s valuation and probably this number is even higher now.

What if we could all be Ash Ketchum ? Maybe that fantasy is fanning this craze as the game has quickly reached the top of the app store wherever it has been launched.

Pokemon Go is also leading to a lot of posts on Craigslist in the missed connections section since it launched last week. That is where things get interesting.

So where does VoyageUp fit into this?

This combination of a game and the real world interacting is something which is driving the rapid growth of the game. People are stepping out of their houses more to capture the Pokemon.

And VoyageUp is an app that makes it easier for you to form real world connections. It let’s you discover and meet people around you. It has already been launched in all major global languages.

When you log in to the app it shows you 2 circles of users

(1) VoyageUp users connected to the same Wi-Fi network as you

(2) VoyageUp users in a 100 meter radius around you.

The app lets you directly chat with them without having to send or accept invites/friend requests. When you leave the Wi-Fi or move away from the location then the chats and contacts are deleted. The idea is to chat briefly and then walk across and meet people you like.

You can find things that you have in common by seeing their profile page, chat and then eventually walk across and meet each other.

A user can update their profile and tell other users what kind of “connection opportunities” they are ready for.

Maybe they want to catch up for a drink, coffee, networking or even Pokemon Go 🙂

It makes it easy for you to break the ice and form a connection with them. And if they have chosen that they are ready to catch up for Pokemon Go then it makes it easy for other players to ping them and catch up.

After all it only shows you users who are nearby

VoyageUp is available on both iOS and Android.

Download it now and make real some real world connections with other Pokemon Go players around you !
